Patchwork Tales Storytelling Festival

Celebrate with Timeless Tales & Music!

Join Us as the 17th Annual Patchwork
Tales Storytelling Festival Returns!

March 9 & 10, 2018

Presented by York County Library from 1996-2011, the Patchwork Tales Storytelling Festival began with a small grant from the South Carolina State Library. Held in Rock Hill, S.C., the festival was designed to support reading and literacy through traditional storytelling and a variety of cultural arts. Over 16 years, Patchwork Tales grew to a full three-day festival, which included performances for all ages by nationally recognized, award-winning storytellers and musicians. However, in 2012, the festival was temporarily suspended due to the economic downturn.

After hundreds of inquiries over the last six years, the York County Library Board of Trustees and Administration are thrilled to announce the return of the Patchwork Tales Storytelling Festival on March 9 & 10, 2018! Enjoy tale-tellin’ at its best as we bring the time-honored tradition of storytelling back to our community!

Rock Hill, S.C. is located in the north-central area of South Carolina, approximately 20 miles south of Charlotte, N.C., along the I-77 corridor.
